This book is the first in a series of two that has been written by Juan Martin, a virtuoso of the flamenco guitar.  There is an excellent page explaining the techniques required for the pieces in this book, especially regarding the right hand fingering (this techniques page is different in book 2).  And for those who have never bothered to learn the dots, there is guitar tablature throughout.
