Francis Rocco Prestia has earned a place among the all-time great bass stylists. As a member of Tower of Power, Rocco set a standard of funk playing that bassists still aspire to.

Here, accompanied by TOP members David Garibaldi and Jeff Tamelier, along with original member Lenny Pickett, he performs a burning set of seven TOP classics, including “Oakland Stroke,”“Soul Vaccination,”“Squib Cakes,” and “What is Hip?”, plus tunes from his acclaimed solo album.

Rocco also talks about creating a groove, his early days with TOP and more.
